Kortrijk is misschien kleinschaliger dan andere studentensteden, maar net dat maakt het zo aangenaam als student. De stad is modern en volop in ontwikkeling, met een sterke focus op innovatie, technologie en design. Studenten vind je vooral rond Kortrijk Weide, de campussen van KU Leuven Kulak, Howest en VIVES, en langs de gezellige Leieboorden. Alles ligt dichtbij.
Het studentenleven is gezellig en laagdrempelig. Rond de Vlasmarkt en in het centrum kan je terecht voor cafés en studentenevents. Het is misschien minder massaal dan in grotere steden, maar net daardoor leer je snel mensen kennen.
Kortrijk is goed bereikbaar met de trein, met vlotte verbindingen naar Gent en andere centrumsteden. Eenmaal in de stad ligt als student in Kortrijk bijna alles op wandel- of fietsafstand.
Voor ontspanning kan je als student in Kortrijk terecht bij concertzaal De Kreun, genieten van een wandeling langs de Leie of sporten in één van de vele sportfaciliteiten. Kortrijk combineert rust met voldoende levendigheid en dat allemaal in een prachtig historisch decor.
