Why choose Baudelo Upkot for student accommodation?
Baudelo Upkot is unique because of its central location in Ghent. The project is situated just a stone’s throw from the historic centre. It also offers all the facilities a student needs, from modern rooms to cosy kitchens.
Baudelo Upkot has cosy kitchens and chillrooms on every floor. There is also a secure bicycle storage area, a laundry room, a shared, green garden, and you’ll find a snooker table and a table tennis table in one of the communal chillrooms.
No, Baudelo Upkot doesn’t have a study room or, as we call it, a ‘study café’. But you can study with other students in the communal kitchens.

Yes, certainly. Gent-Dampoort railway station is just a 5-minute bike ride or an 11-minute walk from Baudelo Upkot. You can also catch various buses within walking distance of the Upkot building, which will take you to the station or to the centre of Ghent. For example, take bus 10 to Gent-Dampoort.
The Upkot coach is responsible for the social activities organised in the building. Many public holidays are celebrated at Upkot, for example. Think of: a fun Christmas market, a visit from Sinterklaas, a welcome drink with all the students, etc. In addition, the coach also organises smaller, fun activities for the students throughout the year. Feel free to plan your own activities or organise something fun with your housemates.
Baudelo Upkot is a smaller, cosy Upkot project and home to 37 students. Expect a lively bunch!
